Project report:
Kalimera from Cyprus,
I am greeting from an amazing love island Cyprus. Island of Aphrodite goddess of love. Island where even during a winter you should swim and eat fresh oranges and mandarins directly from trees.
Project days were during 5. – 10.12. 2024 and we had a really busy and interesting program. We did a lot of work and a lot of workshops. The first day we played some name games and did some interesting activities. Meanwhile we were doing the activities. We were also exploring a city and neighborhood. Each participant has to prepare their own workshop about social inclusion. My workshop was about good mental health and the importance of caring about our thoughts and mindset. Nowaday in such chaotic days we are forgetting to take about mental health and not only physical health.
I am very grateful for this opportunity and chance to travel to such a nice island and have such great memories. I learned a lot about the topic and each participant somehow opened my eyes and brought a lot to my life. Each workshop simply represents the person who did it. First workshop was about singing a Spanish song Feliz Navidad that was really amazing and we had so much fun during. Each workshop was different, but all of them were really amazing. In some workshops we made homemade candles, painted with non dominant hands or were making posters about our life and life visions. Some others were about meditation, yoga and stretching. We also played theater and did very interesting things and improvisation, or body arts.
During the three evenings we even had a culture evening where we talked about our countries. Some of us showed some videos and nice places to visit and then represented some typical food, candies or alcohol.
Thanks a lot to NECI for this amazing opportunity and chance to learn so much in such a short time. I will definitely use those tools and knowledge in my day life.
Thanks a lot every single person allowing these projects to happen! Thanks to everyone who was part of the project!
