In May 2025, I have been lucky to participate in a Romanian training course ACT TOGETHER in Tragoviste aimed to provide methodology insights about the concept of Forum Theater and Theater of the oppressed. Every day we started learning at 10 a.m. and finished at 6 p.m. including lunch break. The framework was set up neatly to bond the group well before diving into more challenging topics. I truly enjoyed the non-formal style of learning which to me appeared more as a kindergarten play time than a training course.
Since it rained most of my stay, we only explored the city once, however I’ve personally gone out many times for a walk or a run, so I had a chance to see even the more rural parts of Tragoviste.
The course took place in a lovely hotel with abundant breakfast options and very helpful staff. With the room’s lodgings changed once a day I felt very cared for.
Within these lovely 5 days I learned the given methodology, many new games, I experienced a burst of creativity, had some deep philosophical discussions, gained a kilo or two and lost both the fear of traveling alone and of speaking English. Thanks!
