Project report:

It was amazing 9 day in the most beautiful nature surrounded venue. Me and my friend Michal travelled just few hours from Vienna airport to Geneva and than with mountain train to the ski village Leysin – Feydey. The project was called „Training of Trainers “ and it last from 6th – 15th September. It was great honour to be one out of 2 representants from Czech Republic. There were 32 participants on project from all corners of Europe. Each country has just 2 representants.

We stayed in hotel Central Resort and we could use in any free time wellness and spa. Food was just outstanding and we had the chance to taste many Switzerland typical food and of course cheese and also fondue!

We had two mind blowing trainers – Nik from UK and Hranush from Armenia. They worked together for a long time and they know each other well. Therefore they made perferct match for delivering sessions. I would say that it was a sneak peak into trainer´s backstage. To warm up we build a team with ice breaker games. Thanks to friendly approach of our trainers and organizator, it was probably the time of my life. To the content as such: We learnt in practical way, many simulations and case studies e.g.:  How environment influence our learning proces, how to work with different types of people, how to prepare session on our own or with collegues. I love the most when we should prepare workshop for 30 minutes and we could chose topic and content on our own. Then we received feedbacks and I felt like I really extend my knowledge and abilities. In addition to that I met 30 other motivated people working in youth organizations and starving for skills and new information. I felt safe and full of optimism to work with them. In our free afternoon we have few our to explore the beauty of Switzerland and Alps.

To sum up, I am so grateful that I was the one who got the chance to b ethere, to see everything, to learn new things and meet so cool people. Thank you organizators, thank you EYCB. Hope to be part of another amazing projects in near future J
