Project report:
The project Open the Flower took place in Slavske, Ukraine. Surrounded by beautiful nature 15 participants from 5 different countries came together to discover different methods of social inclusion through art.
Led by the trainers, we experienced art therapy, drama techniques, discussed the group dynamics, practiced individual contact with problematic teenagers and created our own educational scenario that can be used for a work with youngsters.
I believe that the most favorite activity was drawing of our own Mandala and hearing afterwards how others interpret what we draw. We also enjoyed expressing our emotions through movement and at the end of every day different kinds of relaxation methods.
The project was a little bit superficial and didnt go into details. Despite that I believe it provided us with some inspiration of new activities that can be used during the work with youngsters.
