Project report:

As a participant in the Active Minds, Digital Hands project, I had the opportunity to engage in a dynamic and meaningful initiative aimed at promoting active citizenship and digital inclusion. This project blended critical thinking with practical technological skills, empowering individuals like myself to contribute actively to both European and local communities.

We received training on various digital tools and platforms that support civic participation developing Digital Skills This included hands-on sessions that enhanced our abilities to navigate and utilize technology effectively for community engagement and advocacy.

Through group discussions and collaborative exercises we focused on promoting critical thinking, we were encouraged to reflect on social, environmental, and cultural challenges in our communities. These activities pushed us to think analytically and creatively about real-world problems and identify practical solutions.
A key element of the project was creating collaborative networks connecting with other participants to form a network of active, digitally literate citizens. This fostered a sense of shared purpose and laid the groundwork for future cooperation and community-driven initiatives.
Participating in this project had a significant impact on both my personal and civic development. I have:
– Gained confidence in using digital tools for civic engagement.
– Developed a deeper understanding of the issues facing my community.
– Joined a growing network of engaged citizens who are motivated to use technology for social good.

Active Minds, Digital Hands has not only enhanced my digital competencies but also inspired me to become a more thoughtful, proactive member of my community. I leave this project more aware, more skilled, and more committed to contributing positively to society through digital means. I also had a unique opportunity to explore the cities of Altamura and Bari, which included meeting the local citizens as well.
