Imagine that somebody would tell you: “Come to the Austrian mountains to live by the lake with 20 strangers for a week. We´ll feed you, bed you, entertain you and you´ll actually learn something to be valued in your life for long years to come.” Took me 3 seconds to decide and here is what happened next.
The first and the last word to use in connotation with CreACTIVE project is “unexpected”. None of us three who represented EYCB have done this before. First day I realized that maybe because of Austria´s strategic location the group consists of such a variety of nations that I thought for a second we are on the meeting in LA or Singapore. There were people from 9 different countries with 20 yr age span all ready to let the ideas be born, to express their professional cravings and every kind of genius foolishness. All in the unique environment of a very pulsing group.
Thanks to our lovely trainers Marco and Anni we could sample the basic concepts of youth entrepreneurship, try out some team building activities, see more profoundly how the youth struggles with work in other EU countries, dive deep to the magical layers of one´s creative potential and discover some new personality traits, create our business portfolio regarding the chosen area of interest and we even had a chance to present our very own business project and receive the constructive feedback. Not to mention night swims, group hugs and lovely conversations, a trip to Klagenfurt and the fine and fair attitude throughout the whole week.
The days were long, the nights were longer. We played while working and worked hard on finding the ways how to play again – creatively, vividly, swiftly and happily most of all. Many ideas came to light and many old ones got into shape to be released and work out some good.
Everyone has a dream. And an idea. Everyone wants to be successful in what they do. Thanks to EYCB and this project we felt a bit closer to what we want and a bit more fearless to reach for it.
