The main goal:

The main aim of the youth exchange ” Dream big ” is to introduce to the participants the world of entrepreneurship as a solution for the unemployment.

We would like to achieve this goal through sports. Our strong believe is that if youngsters accept the right attitude to be successful in sports, the same attitude will serve them to be successful in the business world. Actually, the similarities between the entrepreneur and the athlete are striking. The successful athlete knows that if they are to continue to compete, they have to stay in shape; the only way that can happen is through training. Entrepreneurs must approach growth and development the same way.  Same as a football player who is spending hours working on ball control, dribbling, passing, in order to achieve results, same a business person needs to practice (communication, presentation skills, dealing with objections etc.) in order to achieve tremendous results in the area of business. The most important lesson that sports gives us is that through self discipline, hard work and dedication you can beat all the obstacles. Sports can teach us that persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement; it can teach us to set our goals high, and don’t stop till we get there. It can teach us that the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination. To get to the pinnacle of their sport, even the most naturally gifted athletes have to give it their all. Sports can teach us that persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement; it can teach us to set our goals high, and don’t stop till we get there. Sports are about those incredible moments where sheer human will and desire overcomes the odds. And the most important thing if you don’t love what you are doing you wont be able to reach the stars. Like the most famous Brazilian football player of all times Pele is saying: “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” This kind of attitude is sharing also the successful entrepreneurs. For example Sallie L. Krawcheck, CEO and Co-Founder of Ellevest (it is a digital financial advisor for women ) is  saying “If you’re starting something on your own, you better have a passion for it, because this is hard work.”

Another important aspect of being successful in sport is the development of a strategic plan. A well formulated plan can give direction and guidelines for winning a match. Same in business, a well formulated plan can give direction and guidelines for growing a business, and can help maintain an advantage within the industry.
