Project description:

According to the Polish Institute of Integrated Prevention (research on the group of people aged 13-19 from April 2020), young people feel more often nervous, irritated, deprived of energy, lonely, scared and sad. A lot of young people feel worse because of depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. They also have problems with concentration, sleep and the day and night rhythm.

The deteriorating health condition of young people is also confirmed by the results of an online survey conducted by the OECD in April 2020, in which 90 youth organizations from 48 countries took part. Nowadays young people are exposed to greater risk of stress and anxiety. Our research shows that every other student in our school experiences stress frequently or all the time. As many as 38% of high school students participating in the study do not know an effective way to cope with stress. More than half of students do not see the importance to care about their health.

The main objectives:

  • promoting a healthy lifestyle that has a huge impact on the well-being and mental health among young people in local communities;
  • creating opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences on health issues between a group of young people from Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic;
  • shaping active European citizens through non-formal learning workshops tackling current European issues;
  • stimulating cooperation between organizations and young people at European level through providing grounds where they can share and learn from each other’s experiences, practices and ideas for future projects, and collectively pursue the proposed project’s objectives.
