Project report:
I went to Sweden for training YES which stand for Youth Entrepreneurship for Sustainability. This training last only 5 days when we were busy looking at the three topics:
1) Developing skills for identification and implications of entrepreneurial ideas
2) Developing facilitation and communication skills in youth work
3) Understanding the concept of social and solidarity entrepreneurship based on three pillars: leadership, social innovation and business knowledge.
As you can imagine too much to take in and learn, in such a short time of period. Therefore, we have just managed to only touch slightly each topic to enable people to continue in their own learning if they wish.
I personally know lots of about entrepreneurship already from university, which means I didn’t learn anything new, however I didn’t know anything about facilitation and communication skills. I have learned that there are three types of learning (formal, informal, non-formal). The non-formal education we have analysed and even learned some technique to be use in our own future facilitation.
I really enjoyed to do practice in public speaking, where I got feedback and tips for the future. Then I found useful the 30mins of leading a session. This showed me that one day, I could possibly be able to lead my own workshop/session. Nevertheless, this training was too short to go through all technique and put them in practice. I am planning to find similar training focus on this and learn more about it as this training was just taster and still lots of needs to be learn before I will be able to facilitate a workshop or session.
Besides, I enjoyed meeting new people from Greece, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and Latvia – unfortunately group from Lithuania did not arrived. Of course, also I hanged out with Czech team and especially we tried our best in presenting the Czech culture during the culture night however, the Polish group was doing well in presenting their table and even brought special hats and face colours. Next time will be well prepared.
During our free time, we could enjoy the lovely pool by our hotel or centre of Stockholm which was 20mins by walk.
I am very glad that I went to found out more about opportunities through ERASMUS+ and learned new skills for improving my public speaking or facilitation. Also, I meet lot of new people, besides I was able to go for the first time to Sweden.
