Project report:
Hello from the Netherlands! Our Erasmus+ youth exchange “Make Your Move” took place in the beautiful town of Ommen from the 17th to the 26th of October 2025. Six participants from the Czech Republic joined wonderful people from the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Spain, Estonia, Greece, and Italy. Together we spent nine unforgettable days full of movement, creativity, and friendship.
The main topic of the project was movement – both physical and emotional. Each day we took part in inspiring workshops focused on different types of dance such as breakdance, scenic dance, and creative movement. Besides that, we participated in activities that helped us to connect, build trust, and express ourselves through art and performance. Every day brought something new – we danced, laughed, learned, and created together.
Our venue was a beautiful villa surrounded by Dutch nature, which made the whole atmosphere even more relaxing and inspiring. The organizers, Julka and Annemijn, prepared a wonderful program including morning meditations, creative workshops, and evening activities where we all shared our experiences and reflected on the day. The food was excellent – mainly vegetarian and vegan meals, cooked with great care and love.
One of the highlights of the project was the Culture Night, where each country presented its traditions, games, and national food. It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about each other’s cultures and to realize how much we actually have in common.
During our stay, we also explored the lovely town of Ommen and its surroundings. The nature, people, and peaceful environment made this experience truly special. We made strong friendships that will definitely last for a lifetime, and we are already planning to visit each other in the future.
To sum up, “Make Your Move” was not only about dancing and physical activity, but also about personal growth, teamwork, and discovering our inner potential. It reminded us how movement can connect people from different backgrounds and help us express who we truly are. We are deeply thankful to our organizers and everyone who made this project possible.
DISSEMINATION
During our local action, we organized a small presentation for students where we introduced the Erasmus+ programme and explained what the project Make Your Move was about. We talked about the main themes of the exchange, the activities we participated in, and what the experience gave us both personally and academically.
As part of the presentation, we also included a short breathing and meditation exercise that we had learned during the project. We wanted the participants not only to hear about the experience, but also to try one of the activities themselves, so they could better understand the atmosphere of the exchange.
The presentation was connected with the screening of the short films we created during the Erasmus+. First, we explained the context of the project and our participation, and afterwards we showed the film to give a more visual and personal insight into what the project looked like in reality. This combination helped the audience understand the meaning of the project and its impact on us much better.
