Project report:

The youth exchange “In Touch With Nature 1” with NaturKultur took place from 13 July to 22 July 2024 at the Juliusplate camp in Bern, Bremen, Germany. The theme of this project was connecting with nature. There were participants from different countries – Cyprus, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, Romania, Czech Republic. Food was served as breakfast, lunch and dinner, some days we had vegetarian and other days we had meat dishes. The main theme of the whole project was environmental protection and healthy lifestyle. During the stay we learned about the importance of physical activity and outdoor activities for our physical and mental health. The project focused on promoting eco-friendly practices and providing basic knowledge on how we can protect nature. Participants were taught the principles of ecologically sustainable living, which include taking care of the Earth.
Participants also had the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas during various workshops, which contributed to a rich exchange of knowledge and inspiration. This project showed us how we can live in harmony with nature and how we can contribute to a more sustainable future for all of us.
In the evening we had cultural nights where we presented the beauty of our countries and tasted local dishes. Each national team had the chance to present their culture, traditional foods, dances and other aspects of their country. It was a great opportunity to deepen our knowledge of different cultures and customs.
This project was also an opportunity for many participants to try something new and discover new interests. We spent several days in the countryside doing outdoor activities such as games. This not only helped us to improve our physical fitness but also to strengthen teamwork and friendship among the participants.
The best part in my opinion was mainly the trips to the surrounding places, we had the opportunity to visit Bremenhaven, Bremen and Valentin submarine factory.
I would like to thank the sending organization EYCB for the opportunity to participate in this project.
