Project report:

Our project took place in a rather quiet place called Eceabat. Our project took place in a rather quiet place called Eceabat. Just across the strait is situated a beautiful and comparatively larger city of Canakkale. We lived in a cosy hotel which had also a “Garden,” indoor place where we’ve been almost the whole project working.

Topic of this project was increasing interest of young people in agriculture. We had several workshops about agriculture, such as planning a business project pointed to this topic or visiting a wine bar, etc. There were also some activities we weren’t supposed to do because of a very cold weather we were lucky to have. We couldn’t have come for a trekking or visiting a nearby castle.

We’ve been also making clear of stereotypes of every participated country. I personally did not know much about Bulgaria or thought that all Turkish people are very conservative.

Then we visited the fabled town of Troy with an English guide. She told us everything about the myth and about the history of the place itself. Because I saw the movie “Troy,” I was a little bit disappointed of its size. I imagined it very much bigger, still the visit was very nice and worth it.

Everyone on the project also soon created a very good team, food was delicious and accommodation great. I can’t forget organizers that did a very good job also.

All in all, I have to say that this project was a great success and it was a pleasure to be part of it.
