Project report:
Merhaba from Turkey! It was a pleasure to travel to Konakli to participate in the training course Strengthening Digital Competences and Inclusive Practices in Youth Work from 29 April to 6 May 2026. Our group of youth workers from countries including Finland, Latvia, Germany, Poland, North Macedonia, Czechia and Sweden gathered to bridge the digital gap under the coordination of the Polish organization FDS.
In the semi sunny and semi rainy setting of Konakli, we spent our days developing practical digital literacy skills and exploring innovative ways to use digital tools and artificial intelligence safely. We focused on creating digital content while ensuring these tools help make youth work more inclusive for those with fewer opportunities.
The international atmosphere was incredibly inspiring as we shared good practices and collaborated on new methodologies to foster creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
Beyond the workshops, we experienced wonderful Turkish hospitality at the Dizalya Palm Garden Hotel and enjoyed exploring the local culture and beaches. A major highlight were an outdoor activity in Alanya, a historic city close by, and the intercultural evenings, where we shared our local foods, dances and hometown magnets to build a symbolic international wall.
We return home with a strong international network and the motivation to apply these inclusive digital practices in our local communities.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this journey possible!
