Project report:

Think Green Again was an Erasmus project which took a place in a small village near the Portugal-Spain border Aldeia de São Sebastião from 17th to 26th May 2022. There were a total of 22 participants from Ukraine, Slovakia, Spain, Romania, and the Czech Republic.

We were able to create a wonderful group thanks to the amazing work of our organizers Marian and Stefi from Romania and Daniel with Fernando from Spain. During the whole project, we spent most of our time divided into random teams and creating different projects on the main topic of the project which was increasing the awareness of young people about recycling. We also presented everything we created to other teams. We talked for example about the amount of waste from our countries, recipes that we can create from leftover food, or different ways how to influence our surroundings about recycling and zero waste awareness.

We had a few hours of free time after every program so we could fully enjoy the possibilities of our accommodation such as a sports court, public bikes or swimming pool which was very popular in hot Portugal weather.

Each dinner was followed by an evening program which was most often formed by an intercultural night. During these evenings we shared information about our countries, learned national dances or tried different types of food typical for each country. We also did a lot of team-building activities such as making trips to nearby Portuguese historical sites, canyoning, or visiting concert of popular Spanish music band PANORAMA.

Overall we spent nine amazing days where we created unforgettable memories thanks to the flawless work of our organizers, beautiful accommodation secured by Wineyard Youth – Portugal, and a very friendly attitude from each participant. We managed to create something deeper than just a random project team and we are still in very close contact even after the end of the Erasmus Project.

In conclusion, I would like to thank European Youth Centre Břeclav for making our participation in this amazing project possible.
