Project report:

Are you interested in how volunteering works, how to get involved, and what it takes to create your own project? This is exactly what we had the opportunity to discover during our training course in Spain from October 1st to 9th, in the town of Mollina near Malaga. The total number of participants was 27, representing various corners of Europe, including Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, and Morocco.

Our program was packed with daily activities and filled with new information. We started with fun icebreaker games that quickly bonded our team. The activities focused on understanding how Youth Exchange, training courses, and, most importantly, volunteering function. We delved into the intricacies of creating a project, from planning and analysing our goals and what we wanted to achieve, to selecting the right volunteers, monitoring the entire process, and concluding with a final evaluation. All of this was interspersed with entertaining yet enlightening activities that later revealed why such tasks are necessary. For example, we were given a task as a team with a leader who had a secret role, such as playing a very lazy, democratic, or assertive character. The goal was to assess how the group would react in such scenarios.

Our free day was spent in the beautiful city of Granada, and the perfect weather made it a truly enjoyable experience for all of us.

A big thank you goes to the organizers, Clara and Peké, who did an exceptional job of uniting the group and providing valuable life lessons. We could turn to them with any problem, and they made every effort to help us resolve it.

This entire project was truly unforgettable, and I am immensely grateful to have been a part of it.
