Project report:
After 15 hours long hike we reached Rites! A beautiful place where we spent a whole week from the 30th of April to the 8th of May with people from Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria and Denmark. A small cottage, which became a shelter for these young people was situated in the middle of nowhere. Not only there was the cottage but also a lake where some of us swam before the sunrise and a birch forest. In this forest we had the awesome opportunity thanks to the Latvian team to build a treehouse – a childhood dream of us all. We learnt how to put logs together only with ropes so the treehouse could be taken down so it wouldn’t hurt the trees. Not only we built a treehouse we had the chance to get to know each other during morning and evening circles during which we shared our thoughts, memories, wisdoms. At the end the whole program was more about team building and sharing a caring about each other then just building a treehouse. If there wasn’t for EYCB the czech team wouldn’t get to make new friends all around Europe and take part in such a wonderful project!
