Project report:

I have participated in the training course You(th)r goals. This training course was on exploring the renewed EU Youth Strategy “Engaging, Connecting and Empowering” young people and inventing tools and local and European youth projects based on its youth goals for the sake of young people with fewer opportunities. This program was hosted by local NGO Studio Progetto by trainers Mara and Endre.

The overall aim of the training course is to gain deeper knowledge on European Youth Strategy as the main direction of youth work between 2019 and 2027 in local and European level. Experienced youth workers, trainers and project managers share their points of view, experiences and practices concerning the Strategy and its objectives and youth goals. Inventing tools and projects based on the needs of their target groups along the Strategy.

Inventing youth projects in local and European level based on the 3 objectives of the Strategy such as Engage, Connect and Empower young people and its 11 youth goals such as

  1. Connecting EU with youth
  2. Equality of all genders
  3. Inclusive societies
  4. Information and constructive dialogue
  5. Mental health and wellbeing
  6. Moving rural youth forward
  7. Quality employment for all
  8. Quality learning
  9. Space and participation for al
  10. Sustainable green Europe;
  11. Youth organisations and European programmes.

We were accommodated in a very nice wellness hotel in the centre of Recoaro Terme with a very beautiful garden with a view on mountains. We experienced wonderful Italian three-course meals and together in our spare time we went to explore the local life. We went for a hike, had dinner with live music and simply tried to act like locals.

Good quality of our training course made me enjoy it and get some new ideas, views and knowledge of the EU strategy and current problematic. Personally, the most important experience was creating our own projects to face some local challenge and help to develop its solutions.

This training course was very contributive, and I cannot wait to attend another one.
