Project description:

Hello and welcome in the longest and the most populous village in Poland – Zawoja which is located in the Western Beskids Mountains near the Slovakian border.

Our Czech team met up on Thursday in Český Těšín and traveled to Zawoja with minibus provided by organization.

We have arrived just before dinner but unfortunately evening session didn´t happen because French team was still on their way and arrived at midnight.

The next day is when our project really started as we got to know each other and had our first session. The plan of the project was varied. We made some posters, went to thermals, visited an environment center and a dam and also had a trip on a mountain.

On evening, intercultural nights took a place which were great part of the project. The Spanish, the French and the Poles showed us part of their culture, their dances, games and food which I personally love the most. Our group also prepared intercultural night and I really hope that it was fun and interesting for everyone involved.

The last day we switched roles and passed our knowledge and experience to children in primary school in a form of presentation. But of course, we had a really good time the last night and next day with heavy heart, we were leaving just after breakfast.

I hope I speak for everyone involved – we met some new great people, learnt something new about this topic and genuinely had such a great time. We all have great memories for all people on the project – organizers, Polish group, French group, Spanish group and obviously our Czech group.

Thank you all for everything and I hope we shall meet again!

Jakub Schenk
