Hi, my name is Lukáš, and I recently returned from Slovenia from the village of Salovci. Together with 5 other participants from the Czech team, we took part in the Erasmus+ exchange stay called Create a better future. The project took place from 1.12. until 11.12. in the picturesque countryside near the Austrian-Hungarian-Slovenian border. The entire project was devoted to social entrepreneurship.
The atmosphere on the project was amazing, together with other teams from other countries we worked on workshops, either in international or mixed teams. Every morning after breakfast we had a morning workshop, which was led by either the vocabulary team or one of the participants. Lunch was followed by an afternoon workshop and after dinner an evening program, mainly presentations of the participating countries.
Of the selected countries, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria and Portugal participated in the project. It was interesting to see how each nation is slightly different, but we can work together on common goals and projects.
The aim of the project was to familiarize the participants and deepen their knowledge in the framework of social entrepreneurship. The output was the development of a real social business that solves a specific problem in one of the participating countries. As part of the workshop, we gained experience and advanced our knowledge. We have also learned to collaborate better and be creative in our solutions.
I believe that in addition to social entrepreneurship, many of us have learned to communicate better, improve our English language, work on time management or improve our internal motivation.
To summarize everything, the project in Slovenia was a great experience and the opportunity to meet new people, learn new things and get to know a new landscape is priceless. I am very happy for this opportunity and maybe sometime next time on another project.
