Project report:

How are young people becoming more active inside their community?

Thirty-two young people from six different countries, including Czechia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, and Romania, gathered in the historical city of Târgoviște in Romania for an Erasmus+ youth exchange project named Active Youth, hosted by a non-governmental organization Be You. It took place between 20.11.2022 – 29.11.2022.

The project aimed to increase our awareness about the importance of participation in community life, to promote diversity, and to help us develop new skills and make changes to our communities.

During the project we discussed, worked in teams, made a lot of projects in order to find out the meaning of community, citizenships and at what level the youth participates in community in their country. By working in teams we got to understand better, how can we contribute more in the society as a unit. At the end we learned that encouraging young people is crucial to participate in cvic and democratic life.

We are the youth of our countries, we can shape the future and change the world for better.

Also communities are stronger and more resilient when youth participate to community life. We must be aware of our impact in the community. We can make big impacts with small actions. These project also provide chances for young people who have less opportunities to be active.

Everybody has some doubts before applying for Erasmus+ youth exchange project, but the reality is often different than you think.
