Project description:

Bee Active aims to combat the problem of social exclusion of young people, by creating opportunities for learning in a natural and multicultural environment, thus resulting in importante positive impacts for young people.

The promotion of biodiversity is also a central point of the project. Specifically, the project includes sessions of research, sharing, debate and reflection on the role of bees for the biodiversity, namely, by promoting the preservation of these pollinating agents.
Furthermore, Bee Active raise awareness of the adoption of environmentally friendly behaviours.

The project thus emerges as a way of responding to the social problem and the identified needs. In this sense, Bee Active will provide young people with a unique multicultural experience centered on their needs and expectations.

It will also promote learning in a natural environment, promoting awareness, on the part of young people, of the role they should play in the social world, namely, promoting diversity as a way of combating social exclusion, through the analogy between the examples of the world nature, specifically, the role of bees in promoting biodiversity.

Participants’ profile:

  • Young People: Aged 16 to 25 years old
  • Motivated to develop skills;
  • Motivated to participate in a European – wide project;
  • Motivated to interact and colaborate with participants from different social conditions
  • Young People with fewer opportunities: Aged 16 to 25 years old

Group leader’s profile:

  • Aged 18+
  • Experienced in working with young people;
  • Sense of leaddership
  • Able to manage conflicts
  • Able to assure secure and confidence
  • Fluent in English.
