Report from this project:

Training Connecting the dots: coaching for employability was held in South-East part of Spain, near Murcia city. Murcia, one of the biggest cities of Spain, is located in a hilly landscape close to the seacoast.

Organizer of the training, NGO INTER-ACCION.org, aimed to reach all kinds of youth workers; there were members of local NGOs, teachers, volunteers… We came from different parts of Europe, there were participants from Portugal, Poland, Estonia, Italy, Slovenia, Lithuania and many other counties. We lived in rooms for two and I was lucky to have a great Italian roommate.

Program was also great. The main topic of our training was coaching and its methods. We were discovering various styles and approaches to coaching. We were focused on job coaching and we had the possibility to speak about motivation letters, CVs etc.

Apart from that we also learned more about mentoring and peer-to-peer education. Another topic was „feedback“ – what we should be aware when giving feedback, different kinds of feedback and so on. We worked with appreciative inquiry method during the entire training and it was a very beneficial experience.

We often worked in pairs so there was a lot of chances to get to know each other. And of course we had a great time all together during the free time. Sun, heath, trips to nearby National Park, climbing the rocks, Spanish delicacies and carnival nights in Murcia!
