Project report:

Welcome to Bulgaria! Welcome to the world full of happy people, fun, friendship and honesty. It was my pleasure to travel to Bulgaria (Bansko) on the 9th October. We were really excited about the project “Digital Skills for Youth Workers” that ended on the 19st October. There were 32 people from the Czech Republic, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Sweden, North Macedonia, Lithuania and Bulgaria.

Thanks to the perfect preparation and organization of our leaders – Vilislava, Tiša, Lora, Gabriela and Ivan we were able to create a wonderful team without any single mistake! During a lot of activities we got to know each other better and better and thanks to many group works, we were able to cooperate quite easily. We were dealing with technologies of digital age where is not geographic boundaries. We learned how digital platforms work, from social média to e-commerce sites. We learned problem-solving, technical skills like data analysis or graphic design. We were getting immediate feedback and it was  personal development in real-time.  We developed things about data privacy and cybersecurity principles – threats, risks and preventive measures. We learned digital marketing strategies and online communication. We developed critical thinking skills through interactive discussions ang projects management, presentation skills.

We were having strong personal online presence. But it was important to understanding when to disconect. Digital detoxes, minfulness practices were paramount. Presentation of our results allowed us to practice English and move our level a little bit higher! In conclusion we were writing articles and creating videos about our training course.

Moreover, we experienced quite a lot from Bulgarian vital culture, great Bulgarian food, drinks and we had a lot of opportunities to explore the mountains Pirin and city of Sofia including the amazing music festival under the palace of culture.

Considering it all in all, this project had something special in itself. Everything was so calm, pretty and amazing, like somewhere in the dream. What is glorious is the cooperation between nations. During the project we gained confidence in digital skills. We were realizing that digital technologies have not geografic boundaries and every individual can do something to make the world better.  For all of us this was only the beginning. Now, when we are back home we can try to realize our ideas and be happy if any of them will come true. We can start with creating a lot of beautiful things or we can use education as the most powerful weapon to change the world. Everything is up to us!

To sum it up, if there is no EYCB as the great group allowing a lot of people to do amazing things EYCB would have to be invented! Thank a lot every single person allowing these projects to happen!
