The youth exchange ColorUs recently took place in Grimstad, Norway. Participants from Spain, Italy, Norway, and Czechia meet once again after a year and a half in Giovinazzo, Italy. The Czech delegation consisted of seven young people and two leaders, some of whom have already joined last year’s project, while others were taking part for the first time. The main topic of both parts of the youth exchange was inclusion and this time we tried our best to include new people, who haven’t participated with us in Italy.
Norwegian organisers did a great work continuing on the main topic and activities from the fist part of youth exchange. Participants also cleaned the river and prepared areas that would make winter conditions better for fish. Local newspaper printed about this activity a took interviews!
A lot of anctivities were made to help Norwegian organistaion to rise awareness about EU projects. Many young people there are unfamiliar with the Reasmus+ possibilities. Foe the whole week participants helped to stay active on Instragram Grimstad Leaders, prepared different marketing activities and even visited a local high schoolo to present the possibilities to students face to face.
Overall, the week in Grimstad confirmed once again how meaningful and far-reaching Erasmus+ projects can be. What begins as an international exchange often develops into long-term cooperation, cultural understanding, and friendships that go beyond borders. The Czech team is very thankful for the opportunity to take part, and with gratitude to EYCB for their support.
