Project report:

The project LET’S PLAY AND LEARN ON THE LYKIAN ROAD took place in a seaside town named Adrasan near Antalya and it focused on informal learning and education. The project was extremely multicultural. 17 different countries took part in this project. Participants came mostly from non-European countries. The few participating EU countries were Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The majority of participants came from South East European countries.

One of the main activities during the project was inventing our own educational methods and then applying them to other participants. Thanks to these methods, I have for example learned how to be tolerant and how to avoid prejudices. Furthermore, by using informal education methods we have been introduced to Turkish culture and customs. During the international night we have tasted food from all of the participating countries and during the Turkish night we have danced Turkish folk dances with the entire city of Adrasan. We had plenty of opportunities to spend our free time on a beach situated just 5 minutes from our hotel. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and the food was local and fresh.

One day was dedicated to sightseeing and to the visit of the local governor. During the field trip we have visited ruins of an old Lykian city and we have spent the rest of the day on a boat. The boat trip was one of the highlights of the project.

To conclude, the project was very well organized and we had an amazing time.
