Project description:

The concept:

Last 2 years were challenging for the young generation in Europe. Covid-19 pandemic and forced isolation made the formative years of young people’s lives fall under unprecedented rules. Now the uncertainty about the future overlaps with refugee
crisis caused by Russian aggression on Ukraine. Young refugees are seeking safety together with possibility to regain strength and deal with trauma. Also “usual” stresses of rapid changes in life of 18 years olds are added up.

Young People need tools to cope with problems in constructive and healthy way. Time to reflect, take care of themselves. Essential is having space to form identity and express it, support to be resilient and empowered, and the group of peers to grow together.

Such conditions can be delivered by dance and movement psychotherapy affecting young people’s body and mind. In order to provide highest quality of such process we have invited a psychotherapist working with this method.

Participants’ profile:

The youth exchange is designed by and for young people around 18 years old, finishing high schools, having experienced online classes, isolation. The group includes also young refugees from Ukraine living in Rabka and Kraków. The group consists of 30 participants (including youth leaders).
