Project report:

The main objectives of this training course were: bring personal development tools to youth workers, initiate the youth and the youth workers to expression methods, give them tools to develop their self-confidence.

Throughout the course, we were introduced to many different activities. Learning vocal techniques and composing original songs, exploring Slam Poetry, improvisation, and writing personal poems which allowed us to articulate emotions and thoughts, stepping onto the stage in front of others which fostered a newfound sense of self-assurance and confidence. This experience facilitated introspection, encouraging me to reassess life’s priorities while surrounded by the tranquillity of nature.

Interacting with individuals from different country —Portugal, Hungary, Serbia, and France— was an amazing experience and opportunity to get to know other cultures.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the creation and performance of original songs. At the end of the project, we organized a concert at a retirement home. Witnessing the joy our music brought to the elderly residents was fulfilling, we could see how happy they are about the fact that we came to give them our time and to sing for them.

This journey has not only equipped us with new skills but has also highlighted the transformative impact of self-expression and community engagement. The concert at the retirement home stands as a reminder of the ability of music to transcend barriers and bring joy to others.
