Project report:
Nobody can do anything but everyone can do something. That was the main motto of a Strategic Volunteering project in Denmark. Over a week, people from 7 countries: Czech Republic, Denmark, Lithuania, Greece, Italy, Ukraine and Turkey. We were truly big group, every each country has 6 members so at first it was complicated to remember 50 names:D. Thanks to diverse activities we managed to know everyone and listen to their stories of volunteering. Fields of volunteering varied a lot. Some people are leading their own NGOs, some are helping with refugees, some are helping with cleaning national reservations and some were helping families with spreading the word of God. It was amazing opportunity for us to see how the topics and issues in different countries reflect in focuses of NGOs according to country’s needs. There was big space to represent our cultures and customs during national evenings. Thanks to this project we established Czech-aly (Czech + Italy), because we believe our friendship did not end with the end of project. 🙂
