Project report:

Ola! Welcome to Portugal! Welcome to the place full of happy people, fun, friendship and honesty. It was an amazing travel experience to Portugal (Carregal do Sal), where I was accompanied by two other Czech people on the 17th September We were really excited about the project “Time2Act that ended on the 23th September. There were three people from each country: the Czech Republic, Greece, Austria, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Romania and Portugal.

Thanks to the perfect preparation and organization of our leaders – Jo and Anita we were able to create a wonderful team without any single flaw! Throughout a week full of different activities and team work we managed to create a powerful connection between the participants. We were dealing, for example with youth working challenges present in each participating country, how we can deal with the problems that might appear and how we can improve communication in the future. Our leadership skills were improved and we can now spread our knowledge to others in future projects.

Moreover, we experienced quite a lot from Portuguese vital culture – listening to the traditional music called fado, experiencing great Portuguese food like Bacalheau con natas, drinks and we had a lot of opportunities to explore the city of Carregal do Sal .

Considering it all in all, this project had something special in itself. Everything was so calm, pretty and amazing, like somewhere in the dream. What is glorious is the cooperation between nations, realizing that youth workers challanges are basically the same and the most important thing is the fact that every individual can do something to make the situation better. During the project, the technical team have created the functional windmill and the art team beautiful mirrors, bookmarks, candle holders and a lot of other nice things made from the recycled material. For all of us this was only the beginning. Now, when we are back home we can try to realize our ideas and be happy if any of them will come true. We can start with creating a lot of beautiful things or we can use education as the most powerful weapon to change the world. Everything is up to us!

To sum it up, if there is no EYCB as the great group allowing a lot of people to do amazing things EYCB would have to be invented! Thank a lot every single person allowing these projects to happen!
