Project report:

The project on “Tolerance – From Segregation to Inclusion” took place in Brebu, Romania, from August 9th, 2023, to August 17th, 2023. This project brought together participants from the Czech Republic, Spain, Romania, Hungary, and Greece. The primary objective of the project was to explore the evolution of attitudes and practices related to tolerance, aiming to shift from segregation towards inclusion.

Throughout the project, participants engaged in a series of discussions and activities designed to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue across different cultures and backgrounds. The activities were carefully curated by the facilitator Alex to address various aspects of tolerance, including contemporary challenges and strategies for creating more inclusive communities. We were dealing, for example with stereotypes when we had to play a theathre. We also did a trip to Resita city that was pretty close to Brebu. In Resica we had a great opportunity to do a flash mob.

Each participating nationality had the opportunity to share their culture through performances, presentations, and traditional cuisine.

The project offered several significant outcomes. Participants gained a awareness of the complexities surrounding tolerance. Attendees acquired practical skills and knowledge that could be applied in their home countries and their societies to address issues related to tolerance, discrimination, and inclusion.

The project “Tolerance – From Segregation to Inclusion” was a great experience without stereotypes and segragation. A big thanks goes to our great facilitator and the rest of the management from the host organization Asociatia Deschide Zambete for organizing this project.
