Program, akce: Evropský sbor solidarity (ESC) — krátkodobé individuální dobrovolnictví (7 týdnů = 50 dní)

Pro to, abyste na tento projekt mohli jet je nutné, abyste vlastnili nejen občanský průkaz (který musíte mít ze zákona), ale také platný cestovní pas (s platností min. ještě 150 dní od datumu začátku vámi vybraného projektu).

V rámci programu Evropský sbor solidarity jsou následující finanční specifika: v rámci všech projektů ESC je kompletně (ze 100 %) zajištěno jídlo, ubytování, aktivity, povinné doplňkové pojištění u pojišťovny Henner, jazykový kurz, místní doprava, a to vše je zcela pokryto z fondů EU programu Evropský sbor solidarity a zařízeno organizátory. Účastníkům dále budou proplaceny cestovní náklady (v případě tohoto projektu) ve výši max. €309 z místa bydliště do místa konání projektu a zpět.

Účastník musí:

• Být ve věku 18-30 let;
• Být zaregistrovaný na portálu ESC (v případě, že máte s registrací problém, řiďte se tímto návodem)
• Mít zájem o dobrovolnictví a tento projekt;
• Ovládat angličtinu alespoň na úrovni B1

Popis dobrovolnické příležitosti:

After an incredible first year, Modern Odyssey is back for its second edition – bigger, bolder, and ready for new adventures. Odysseus found home after 10 years of sailing – we will do so in 7 weeks, with 2 vans, while supporting and connecting with 5 eco-communities and 1 urban community. This is an opportunity for you to join a team of 15 people, to learn about sustainable living, to make a meaningful impact – to find your Ithaca (*home).

What we’ll do:

• Immerse in sustainable living practices
• Contribute to meaningful local projects
• Build solidarity with different community groups
• Focus on personal growth and development

Our impact:

In each community, we’ll learn, contribute and create lasting connections. Just as Odyssesus returned home transformed, how will this journey change you?

Three Pillars:

1. Community living (50%)

• Creating our unique Community-Hop experience
• Living, cooking and traveling together
• Building our temporary homes in each location
• Growing individually and collectively
• Supporting each other’s journey

2. Hands-on impact (25%):

• Engaging in practical eco-friendly projects
• Contributing through:
  1. Construction and building
  2. Gardening and planting
  3. Maintenance and repairs
• Learning sustainable skills
• Making tangible community impact

3. Creative documentation (25%)

• Capturing our journey through:
  1. Photography
  2. Promotional videos
  3. Podcasts
  4. Mini-documentaries
• Deceloping media skills
• Sharing our story with the world
• Building a lasting digital legacy

Note: These three aspects work together to create a holistic experience, combining community living, practical action, and creative expression.

Volunteer’s profile:

• Age: 18-30 (as of May 8th, 2025)
• No visa requirement for Greece
• Adaptable to basic rural living conditions for 7 weeks
• Open-minded and community-oriented
• Ready to embrace challenges
• Willing to contribute to daily tasks: farming, building, cooking, cleaning, community maintenance

Social & cultural aspects:

• Eager to work with diverse cultures
• Committed to building a nurturing community
• Ready to practice active listening and communication
• Willing to share and learn from others

Special consideration: priority will be given to individuals who:

• Have faced life challenges
• Have overcome addictions
• Bring unique perspectives to our community

We’re seeking a few dedicated volunteers to lead our media documentation:

• Photograohy and videography
• Video editing
• Podcast creation
• Social media management
• Content creation and storytelling

Note: While all participants will support documentation activities, these specific roles are for those who will primarily focus on creating and managing our media content.
