Pillars of the project
What volunteers will do?
Visual Media & Digital Literacy:
We will organise trainings to provide volunteers with skills about video making and visual media products called “guerrilla filmmaking” which is a method to produce visual media using materials and non-professional equipment. In this case we are gonna use our phones and any other film making equipment already available
Digitalisation of Cultural Heritage
Is about creating a digital archive of traditional sustainable practices of human/nature connection.
Volunteers will support the whole process of digitalization from physically identifying the sites, rediscovering their history, creating a detailed description, categorization, inputting in database and updating the website.
This action is called to work on revitalization of Bergolo through the digitalizationof the project’s impact on the local area, its natural and cultural heritage
Hands on support
Bergolo village counts 54 habitants, and presence of international volunteers essential for community.
Together we will take care of maintaining the village clean, working in the Educational Community Garden
run by New Wellness Education. And also cooking together using the products grown by our own!
We will spend time restoring and painting local hostel that welcomes people from all over the world, and contribute to annual festival of the village: preparing the venue, programme, food stands and workshops.
Outreach Local Community
Volunteers will have a change to create events in the local villages nearby, to attract attention to the project and work we are doing and get in touch with locals, discovering a lot of insights.
Those events will focus on involving the local communities through workshops / actions related to cultural landscape promotion and protection, and storytelling.
