Popis projektu:
Dear adventurers, we look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful town of Dobrinishte, nestled among three magnificent mountains and rich in the preserved hospitality and traditions of its people.
In this experiential training, we will be Connecting the D.O.T.S. – those seemingly random moments that, in retrospect, come together, create meaning, and transform us. The stage for our discoveries will be a hidden mountain settlement. Its residents will be the ambassadors of challenges, and the mountain breeze will bring us wisdom – the bond that unites all insights.
Be open to surprises.
Say “Yes” – and ask for more.
Trust the process, and the experience will be unforgettable.
Connecting the D.O.T.S. (Discover – Open – Trust – Sustain) is a capacity-building training course for youth workers, created in response to the growing need for alternative methods and innovative approaches to engage young people and build communities based on shared values.
Today, many young people feel lost, disconnected and unheard, which affects their ability to trust others and to engage in long-term community initiatives. At the same time, local communities are increasingly experiencing weakening sense of togetherness.
For this reason, the training course offers youth workers an experiential space to go through a community-building process themselves. By exploring the local community of the small mountain town of Dobrinishte, engaging with local people and reconnecting with nature, participants will transform from a group of strangers into a community built on shared experiences and values.
Aims:
To support youth workers & leaders in creating and facilitating community-building processes grounded in shared values, while strengthening the sense of belonging and active engagement.
- To support a personal development process for youth workers aimed at strengthening their motivation, self awareness of their capacities and limitations, and understanding of their role in youth work and in supporting young people.
- To enhance youth workers’ competences in building meaningful connections and fostering a sense of belonging through systems thinking, community engagement, nature-based approaches, and improvisational theatre practices.
- To strengthen youth workers’ facilitation skills in managing group dynamics and creating safe, inclusive spaces that foster dialogue, trust, and mutual understanding.
- To facilitate the exchange of good practices in community building among youth workers, with a focus on trust, inclusion and a sense of belonging in diverse youth work contexts.
