Pro to, abyste na tento projekt mohli jet je nutné, abyste vlastnili nejen občanský průkaz (který musíte mít ze zákona), ale také platný cestovní pas (s platností min. ještě 150 dní od datumu začátku vámi vybraného projektu).
V rámci programu Evropský sbor solidarity jsou následující finanční specifika: v rámci všech projektů ESC je kompletně (ze 100 %) zajištěno jídlo, ubytování, aktivity, povinné doplňkové pojištění u pojišťovny Henner, jazykový kurz, místní doprava, a to vše je zcela pokryto z fondů EU programu Evropský sbor solidarity a zařízeno organizátory. Účastníkům dále budou proplaceny cestovní náklady (v případě tohoto projektu) ve výši max. €309 z místa bydliště do místa konání projektu a zpět.
Účastník musí:
- Být ve věku 18-30 let;
- Být zaregistrovaný na portálu ESC (v případě, že máte s registrací problém, řiďte se tímto návodem)
- Mít zájem o dobrovolnictví a tento projekt;
- Ovládat angličtinu alespoň na úrovni B1

Position: Events & Outreach Assistant
Duration: Mid-April 2026 – Mid-April 2027 (12 months)

BirdLife Malta is seeking an Events & Outreach Assistant to join its Public Engagement team through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). This full-time voluntary position offers practical experience in environmental education, event coordination and community outreach, supporting bird conservation in the Maltese Islands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising and supporting public events, school visits and outreach activities
- Promoting events through BirdLife Malta’s website, social media, newsletters and magazine
- Delivering educational sessions and school talks, including at nature reserves
- Supporting community engagement, public stands and youth activities
- Assisting with volunteer coordination, administration and event reporting
- Writing short blogs, articles and social media content related to outreach work
We are looking for someone with a good command of English, a strong interest in nature, birds and environmental conservation, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. A background in environmental education, biology or communication is an asset. Applicants must be flexible and available to work occasional weekends.

Position: Nature Reserves Visitor Assistant
Duration: 1st March 2026 – 28th February 2027 (12 months)
DEADLINE: 31st January 2026 at 23.00 CET time
BirdLife Malta is seeking a Nature Reserves Visitor Assistant to join its Land Management team through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). This full-time voluntary position offers hands-on experience in nature reserve management, visitor engagement and environmental education, while directly supporting bird conservation in the Maltese Islands.
The volunteer will be based at BirdLife Malta’s nature reserves: Għadira, Simar, Foresta 2000 and Salina, and will work under the guidance of the Site Warden and Head of Land Management. Training will be provided on the history of the sites and their flora and fauna.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with opening BirdLife Malta’s nature reserves to the public, including afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Welcoming visitors and providing guided tours, including of the Salt Museum at Salina Nature Reserve
- Explaining the reserves’ history, habitats, flora and fauna to visitors
- Setting up reception areas, displays, binoculars and the on-site nature shop
- Managing a small shop, promoting sales and encouraging BirdLife Malta membership
- Collecting visitor statistics and feedback
- Supporting educational events and public activities held at the reserves
- Assisting with field research, data collection and data entry
- Supporting habitat management and maintenance works when reserves are closed to the public, including physically demanding outdoor tasks
We’re looking for someone with good communication and people engagement skills, organised, adaptable and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
