During the volunteering period there will be 4 weekends (usually October, November, March and May) in which volunteers will be proposed to participate in the activities carried out by the Association in festivals related to environmental sustainability and social action such as Social Market Fair, The Secret Garden, Market Sostenibles, etc.
The area where the volunteer will develop their activities will be between Puente Tocinos and the municipalities in which the association is present, where they will provide support to people of all ages in vulnerable situations. Volunteers who participate in our project have the opportunity to learn about all the areas and sectors in which the association works, participate in the general organization of activities, always in the company of a person responsible for our association.
In terms of learning, the volunteers will have a new opportunity to relate with people that will foster their personal development, they will be in contact with people from other cultures, countries, religions and customs that will make them more tolerant and open-minded. Through these relationships they will understand the reality, the community and the circumstances in which the beneficiaries of our association live. In this way, they will discover other realities, creating a new perspective on their own reality, giving more importance to their own lives and finally acting collectively.
All the activities developed in Proyecto Abraham are linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, which, among other things, brings an added European value to our project.
Our volunteering project seeks to promote the values promoted by the EU and the CES Program, such as solidarity, equality, justice, respect, the fight against exclusion and xenophobia, etc.
