Popis projektu:
GENERAL BACKGROUND:
The Erasmus+ programme represents an exceptional funding opportunity for the mobility of young people and youth professionals. Despite its advantages, many organisations and countries are still unfamiliar with it.
The administrative procedures and applications may seem daunting at first glance, but it would be a shame to miss out on this potential.
It’s well worth finding out more, because behind the formalities lie great opportunities to be seized.
Du Grain à Moudre is made up of members who have taken part in several Erasmus+ projects (Youth & Education/Training) covering a variety of themes such as inclusion, heritage, migration, gender, sustainable development and many others.
Through this experience, we want to offer a training course providing practical information on the Erasmus+ programme and project management, as well as providing teaching tools drawn from popular education.
We wish to provide practical guidance for navigating into the world of Erasmus+, but our aim is also to create a platform for exchange and synergy between partners. We firmly believe in the importance of bringing together committed players, sharing project management practices and building innovative initiatives together.
DESCRIPTION:
During this training, participants will have the opportunity to master Erasmus+ administrative procedures while developing essential project management skills. We will focus on exploring creative methods specifically adapted to non-formal education in the context of Erasmus+ Youth projects.
The practical approach will be emphasised, with participants invited to acquire detailed information about the Erasmus+ programme and to explore the process of creating a project of their own choosing.
Throughout the project, the emphasis will be on collaborative writing, with participants working in small groups to develop a concrete project, putting the knowledge they have gained into practice and fostering an immersive and participative learning experience.
The final goal of this training is to create a project, during the week, with the international partners present and to be able to submit it in February 2025 to the European Commission.
OBJECTIVES:
We wish more specifically to:
- Facilitating opportunities for exchanges between participants, promoting the creation of networks and encouraging collaboration between partners in order to maximise the impact of Erasmus+ projects.
- To enable participants to acquire knowledge of Erasmus+ actions, funding criteria and opportunities.
- Raise awareness of the importance of inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+ projects.
- Enable youth professionals to acquire skills in setting up and managing projects.
- Inspire confidence and autonomy in structures for active initiatives in Erasmus+ projects.
FRAME OF WORK:
Participants will come from various backgrounds, with different experiences and expertise. We are looking for individuals who are ready to commit to a project in the medium or long term, capable of sharing their experiences in project management, and/or open to receiving advice and feedback.
This training is designed as a learning space where every participant needs to position themselves pedagogically. We encourage all participants to reflect on their own journey and experience, share it, and build on it, while being open to constructive feedback. We also ask that everyone be respectful and considerate of others‘ sensitivities.
We ask that all participants be punctual and attend every session to ensure full participation in the training.
As we will be living collectively during the training, we will also ask for participants‘ involvement in some daily tasks to foster a sense of community.
METHODOLOGY:
The training will primarily rely on methods and tools from non-formal education.
Participants will play an active role in the training, proposing energizers and workshops, as we believe that learning is most effective through hands-on experience and action. While theoretical content will be introduced by the trainers using participative methodologies, much of the training will focus on knowledge sharing and mutual enrichment within the group. Participants will be encouraged to bring and share their own experiences related to the topic.
Although we will maintain a non-formal education approach, given the more structured nature of this specific topic, the format will be somewhat more formal than other trainings. However, we will continue to prioritize an interactive and flexible learning environment that adapts to the needs of participants.
PARTICIPANTS‘ PROFILE:
We are looking for youth workers of all types (educators, social workers, youth leaders, etc.) who are interested in discovering the Erasmus+ program and are committed to envisioning the development of Erasmus+ projects, with the interest in submitting a project for the February 2025 deadline, following its creation during the training.
No prior experience in Erasmus+ project development is required. This training is primarily aimed at first-time applicants who are new to the program. Please note that each participant will need to bring their own laptop to be able to work during the training.
