Something Fresh is an advanced & highly practical training course on guiding other people. If you work with people on a daily basis and would like to improve yourself and your ability to create & facilitate learning processes, then this might be the project for you!

While working with people, we always get challenged and we always get to learn more about ourselves – therefore, personal development goes hand in hand with professional development. This is also the reason why this learning event is a dynamic combination of practices and experiences – experiences through which we bring to the surface the unchangeable competencies, such as:

  • Agility & adaptability
  • Connection & social intelligence
  • Empathy & emotional regulation
  • Resilience
  • Personal leadership & ability to show up
  • Critical reflection

Creating a suitable learning process is not that simple… One good activity is hardly enough – it is all about the context that we create, the playground that we offer. There are many different elements and layers that play a role and it takes agility and creativity to work with these.

How to create impact?
How to read an individual and the group?
How to work with triggers?
How to work with the invisible?
How to create a balance between a process and a procedure?
How to do more with less?
How to see beyond the story of our participants?

Our idea is to take a look at the topics of education from a new perspective. We zoom out and switch the focus from a one-size fits-all approach to a strong and unique method. For whom? For individuals and for groups – to see how to adjust and adapt your working style.

Through hands on experiences you will discover and find your unique approach and your own answers to the following questions:

How do people learn?
How to create a didactic learning process in a context?
How to take a critical look at yourself?
How to design and facilitate purposeful activities?
How to guide the learning process of other people?
How to see the bigger picture and create suitable & relevant interventions out of connection?
How to put learning as the primary focus when working with people? (instead of comfort)
Which tools are available for you while supporting others?
What is your unique coaching, training and facilitation style?
How do you show up, connect with others and handle difficult situations?

What to expect:

This will be an intense training with long & packed days and sometimes challenging processes. You will have the chance to come with your learning questions, learn from your peers and explore & experiment through the dynamic practice sessions. We will offer a variety of inputs, but your experience and how much you take away will be fully in your hands.

Whom are we searching for:

  • 23–28 years old
  • active within your organization and/or local community
  • someone with significant experience when it comes to non-formal education
  • someone who wants learn more about the art of guiding other people’s learning process
  • eager to learn more about the development of educational experiences
  • excited about non-formal learning activities
  • motivated to create learning opportunities for others
  • able to work in English
What is the target group?
As this will be an intense and advanced course, we would like to have people who work with people on a daily basis and would like to improve themselves and their ability to create & facilitate learning processes. Ideally, these people are working with facilitation, training, coaching, mentoring, but it will also be fitting for people working with teams in other settings too. What is a non-negotiable criterion is that they have experienced non-formal education programs personally, are committed to this program and have a clear idea of how they would like to apply their learnings in their work/volunteering.
