Popis projektu:
Empowering Rights, Enabling Change is an international training course focused on Human Rights and Active Citizenship, bringing together 36 participants from Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, and Türkiye.
In a world where fundamental rights are often challenged and civic engagement is increasingly important, this project creates a safe, inclusive, and empowering learning environment where youth workers and participants can deepen their understanding of human rights and strengthen their role as active citizens while improving the quality of youth work practices.
The training course will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, between 13 and 22 May 2026, gathering participants with diverse cultural, social, and professional backgrounds. Through non-formal education methods, participants will engage in interactive workshops, group discussions, simulations, role-plays, and experiential learning activities designed to foster critical thinking, participation, and practical skill-building, with a strong focus on enhancing youth work methodologies.
During the project, participants will:
- Explore key human rights concepts and their relevance in everyday life
- Strengthen their understanding of active citizenship and democratic participation
- Learn how to identify and challenge discrimination, inequality, and exclusion
- Share experiences, perspectives, and good practices from their local youth work contexts
- Develop facilitation, communication, and advocacy skills
- Build intercultural competences, teamwork, and mutual understanding
- Create follow-up initiatives promoting human rights and civic engagement in their communities
The project aims to empower participants and youth workers to become active promoters of human rights, inclusion, and democratic values. By fostering meaningful connections and equipping them with practical tools, methods, and competences, Empowering Rights, Enabling Change contributes to improving youth work practices and building more inclusive, participatory, and rights-based societies across Europe.
