Popis projektu:

Ofensiva Tinerilor is proud to host an in-person Thematic Awareness Training dedicated to Inclusivity. Designed for youth workers, educators, and facilitators from across Erasmus+ Programme countries and partner countries. This immersive experience will provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools to promote tolerance, inclusion, and respect for inclusion in their local communities.

The Organisation Ofensiva Tinerilor Association was founded in 2004, promoting European values being an integral part of its purpose.

Our mission is to provide young people with accessible educational opportunities to help them reach their full potential. We do this by educating students through non-formal activities on social issues such as diversity, gender equality, inclusion, anti-bullying and non-discrimination.

What is this project about:

In the context of our Erasmus+ accredited project, which aims to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and reduce discrimination across Europe, this 8-day training course equips educators with the tools, values, and methodologies necessary to design inclusive learning environments. Focused on learners with various disabilities, this training responds to the documented need for more accessible non-formal education spaces, especially for those who often face exclusion, bullying, and marginalization due to their physical appearance, disability, or non-conforming identities

Content of this Thematic Awareness Training (TaT):

In the context of our Erasmus+ accredited project, which aims to promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and reduce discrimination across Europe, this 8-day training course equips educators with the tools, values, and methodologies necessary to design inclusive learning environments. Focused on learners with various disabilities, this training responds to the documented need for more accessible non-formal education spaces, especially for those who often face exclusion, bullying, and marginalization due to their physical appearance, disability, or non-conforming identities

Objectives:

  • Objective 1: Reduce discrimination and bullying among 1,200 young people across at least 10 European countries, focusing on physical appearance, race, and nationality—identified by UNESCO as leading causes of bullying. The project aims to directly support at least 150 bullying victims and include 50 young people with disabilities in quality non-formal education activities.
  • Objective 2: Empower young people to become part of the solution through a peer-to-peer education model. Peer educators foster trust, act as role models, and increase engagement by using relatable and accessible methods. This approach is scalable and effective, even without certified trainers.
  • Objective 3: Strengthen youth organisations’ ability to combat discrimination and promote inclusion, particularly for youth with disabilities. Through the Peers for Integration programme, participants will become ambassadors for non-formal education and inclusion-focused peer learning.

What you’ll gain:

By participating, trainers and youth workers will enhance their ability to understand a wide range of disabilities and how these impact learning processes. They will learn to adapt non-formal education methodologies to better support learners with disabilities, while also creating inclusive environments that encourage participation, self-expression, and empowerment.

Additionally, they will develop practical, accessible tools, activities, and facilitation techniques. Throughout the experience, participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own attitudes and biases, ultimately growing into ambassadors of inclusive, peer-to-peer learning.

Participants‘ profile & good to know:

  • Participants should be actively involved in youth work, either as staff members or volunteers of the youth organization.
  • Selection will be based on participants’ motivation and their commitment to engaging in the training as part of a meaningful learning journey.
