Your accommodation, food, administration and pocket money will be funded by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC)
Welcome to Mundekulla
We are a course, conference and retreat center in southern Sweden. We at Mundekulla work to run and develop the center to create a unique place for many types of retreats, workshops, trainings, conferences and festivals in the areas of meditation, yoga, personal development, business, education, music and human potential. We also run a Ecolodge business and rent out rooms for tourism, offer breakfast and have opened up to more business clients with a wider range of offers.
The center is 3 hours away by direct train from Copenhagen or Gothenburg. We are in the middle of the forest with small lakes, eco buildings, and lots of walking trails in the surroundings.
A short history about the place
In 1998 a father and a son – Berndt and Peter – started restoring an old house in the tiny village of Mundekulla. The house had been standing empty for many years and rain was dripping through the ceiling in every room. They wanted to restore the house in the traditional way and create a place for learning, founded on sustainable principles, that would show beauty of this rural area.
Now, more than 25 years later and many people pouring their love, music and hard work into the project, Mundekulla has become a retreat and course center, visited by 2000-2500 people each year from all over the world. It is a hub for personal development, creativity, peace & sustainability.
Mundekulla hosts many courses and retreats: from meditation, mindfulness and yoga to theatre. From forest bathing to university lectures, eco-conferences and a yearly music festival. Yet, the quiet and peacefulness of Mundekulla are still intact, the soil is more alive than at the start and the forest is growing more diverse.
Since 1st of January 2023 Martin and Galina Studer own Mundekulla. They brought new vision and fresh ideas to the place and take it together with a new team into the future.
