Hostitelská organizace:

Unity through Diversity is an international youth exchange focused on multiculturalism, bringing together 50 young people from Czechia, Germany, Latvia, North Macedonia, Romania, and Türkiye. In a world where cultural differences are sometimes seen as barriers rather than strengths, this project creates a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where young people can explore diversity, build mutual understanding, and promote respect and peaceful coexistence.

The youth exchange will take place in Adana, Türkiye, between 23 April and 2 May 2026, gathering participants from diverse cultural, social, and personal backgrounds. Through non-formal education methods, participants will engage in interactive workshops, group discussions, intercultural activities, simulations, and cultural evenings designed to foster dialogue, empathy, and intercultural learning.

During the project, participants will:

  • Explore multiculturalism and understand the value of cultural diversity in modern societies
  • Learn about stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination, and how to challenge them
  • Share their own cultural traditions, experiences, and perspectives
  • Develop intercultural communication, teamwork, and social skills
  • Build mutual respect, tolerance, and openness toward different cultures
  • Strengthen their sense of European identity and active citizenship
  • Create joint outputs promoting unity, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue

The project aims to empower young people to embrace diversity as a positive force, strengthen their intercultural competences, and encourage them to become active promoters of inclusion and mutual  understanding in their communities. By building meaningful connections and friendships across cultures, Unity through Diversity contributes to fostering a more inclusive, tolerant, and united Europe.

Participants‘ profile:

Each national group consists of:

  • 7 participants aged 18-30
  • 1 group leader (no age limit)

This youth exchange is specifically designed for young people with fewer opportunities. All participants are young people facing economic, social, cultural, educational, or geographic challenges, who may have limited access to international mobility and intercultural learning experiences. The project aims to provide them with a safe and supportive environment to explore multiculturalism, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of belonging in a diverse society. If you require any individual support, please contact your sending or hosting organization to ensure your full participation and well-being.

Ideal participants are:

  • Curious, open-minded, and willing to learn about different cultures and perspectives
  • Motivated to participate in non-formal learning activities focused on multiculturalism and intercultural dialogue
  • Interested in promoting mutual respect, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence
  • Willing to share their own culture, experiences, and ideas with others
  • Ready to actively engage in group activities, teamwork, and intercultural exchange
  • Able to communicate in English at a basic level during activities

Group leaders (preferably with experience in Erasmus+ projects or working with young people with fewer opportunities) are responsible for supporting their national group before, during, and after the exchange. They play an important role in ensuring effective communication, supporting participants’ learning process, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and respectful intercultural environment for everyone.
