Popis projektu:
We are eagerly waiting for you to set off together on the path of change. We know that change can be frightening —because it is unknown, challenging, and often beyond our control—but it is also inevitable.
So why let circumstances push us in unclear directions, instead of embracing change as an opportunity to make things different, better, to go further?
Be ready and courageous to learn the steps of change, and how to guide not only yourselves, but also the young people you work with along this journey. Because the world is changing rapidly, and we need to be prepared and strong enough to move with it.
This adventure is calling you.
Summary:
Guiding CHANGE is a capacity-building training course for youth workers addressing the growing need to support young people in times of change, uncertainty, and important life decisions. In a rapidly transforming social context, youth workers often face the challenge of guiding others without sufficient tools or support themselves.
The project provides an experiential learning space where participants explore change as a process and develop competences to support others through it. Based on Nonviolent Communication and experiential learning, the training fosters curiosity, empathy, awareness of needs, and a growth-oriented mindset.
Through personal development, practical tools, and exchange of good practices, the project strengthens youth workers’ capacity to create trust, safety, and meaningful support for diverse groups of young people.
Aims:
To support youth workers in understanding change as a process, mastering its stages and developing skills to guide and support young people from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing transformation and making important life decisions.
- To deepen youth workers’ understanding of change as a process and its phases by engaging them in a personal development journey grounded in Nonviolent Communication and experiential learning.
- To enhance youth workers’ competences in guiding change processes by creating empathy, trust and safe environments that support young people during periods of transformation and important life decisions.
- To equip youth workers with needs-based communication tools to support young people in navigating fear, insecurity and transition in an empowering way.
- To provide a structured space for the exchange of good practices in managing change processes within youth work, applicable to different target groups and contexts.
Participants‘ profile:
The training course is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, facilitators and trainers from formal and non-formal education who are actively involved in supporting young people during periods of change and transition.
Participants are expected to:
