Popis projektu:

This mobility activity for youth workers will take place in Warsaw and directly addresses pressing issues linked to human rights, the integration of refugees and migrants, and the fight against racism and discrimination. Across Europe, youth workers face growing challenges in promoting social cohesion, protecting democratic values, and ensuring that young people—especially those from migrant or minority backgrounds—are fully included in society.

By creating a dedicated training space, the activity will equip youth workers with the competences and tools necessary to promote human rights and the rule of law, while fostering participation in democratic life. The project is firmly aligned with EU Youth Goals and the Erasmus+ priority of strengthening democratic engagement. It will also contribute to building inclusive local communities where migrants and young people from diverse backgrounds can feel respected, represented, and empowered.

Objectives:

  • Enhance Youth Workers’ Competences – Provide practical tools and non-formal education methods for youth workers to address issues of human rights, anti-racism, and migrant integration in their daily practice.
  • Promote Democratic Participation – Strengthen the capacity of youth workers to encourage young people’s active involvement in civic life and decision-making processes at local and European levels.
  • Foster Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees – Develop strategies to support the reception, integration, and empowerment of young migrants and refugees in community and youth work contexts.
  • Combat Racism and Discrimination – Equip youth workers with skills to challenge stereotypes, prejudice, and discriminatory practices through awareness-raising and intercultural dialogue.
  • Build a Sustainable Network – Create a network of trained youth workers committed to cooperation across borders, ensuring the long-term impact of the training and sharing of best practices.

Participants‘ profile:

  • Engage in interactive workshops on human rights, the rule of law, and democratic participation, gaining tools to integrate these topics into their daily youth work practice.
