Popis projektu:
RIGHTS ON REELS: (DEMOCRACY, RULE OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS)
Human rights are the core principles that protect the dignity, freedom, and equality of every person, but they are frequently threatened and violated around the world. Through films and case studies that highlight diverse cultures, histories, and viewpoints, we’ll dive into the complex stories of human rights challenges and victories.
Themes of the training:
This training will explore the core principles of human rights that protect dignity, freedom, and equality, while also addressing the ongoing challenges and violations worldwide. By examining films and case studies from various cultures, histories, and perspectives, participants will engage with the complexities of human rights issues, learning about the struggles and successes faced by different communities. The goal is to deepen understanding of human rights advocacy and the diverse stories that drive our shared pursuit of justice and equality.
The overall aim of the training is to empower participants to become active and engaged members of their communities through storytelling, advocacy, and intercultural exchange. By taking part in the training RIGHTS ON REELS, participants will cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively advocate for human rights within their own contexts. Through collaborative activities and discussions, participants will develop a nuanced understanding of how local and global human rights issues are interconnected.
Ultimately, the training aims to create a network of informed advocates who can harness their experiences and insights to influence policies, raise awareness, and promote human rights initiatives in their communities. By the end of the program, participants will emerge equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical strategies for implementing change, thereby contributing to the ongoing struggle for justice, equity, and human dignity for all.
Learning objectives of the training are:
● Understand the principles of democracy, rule of law, and human rights;
● Identify common threats to these values in contemporary societies;
● Develop skills to advocate for human rights and challenge violations;
● Gain practical tools for navigating complex information environments on the human rights theme
● Collaborate with others to build networks that support democratic integrity;
● Strengthen communication, teamwork, and leadership skills in diverse settings;
● Foster new partnerships and project ideas under the Erasmus+ Programme
● Create your own cases as the tools for your further activities,
● Become and active advocate of change
The methodology of the training:
The training will employ non-formal learning methodologies such as interactive workshops, role plays, discussions, and debates. Participants will engage in activities that build understanding and skills, such as icebreakers, team-building exercises, and group reflections. Experienced trainers will guide the process, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that encourages participation, creativity, and critical thinking.
