Hostitelská organizace: Europe in Your Hand
Popis projektu:
„Europe in Your Hand“ will provide a 9-day youth exchange for 37 active young people aged between 18 and 30, who will be actively involved in the implementation of the project.
The exchange is intended for young and active people from European countries looking for ways to implement social media as a tool in their personal and professional lives. It promotes collaboration, exchange of skills and good practice between young people who are passionate about media literacy.
The main goal of the project is to show participants how the Internet and social media can be used as a way to promote active citizenship and entrepreneurship among young people, while providing a well-balanced mix of knowledge, skills, competencies and examples of partner practice, organizations and their socially useful activities.
Participation in this project will enable young people and their leaders to develop basic digital competencies with the help of the so-called „Marketing through social media“ and to accumulate new ideas for starting business / initiatives / events, which are possible thanks to the Internet and modern technological development. Young people will participate in special modules that will help them integrate into the life of their community and organize online activities and campaigns. Managing the presence in the virtual space and the ability to implement effective online communication are becoming an important requirement in the workplace. Rapid adaptation to new technologies, services and environments is already seen as an extremely valuable skill by employers and can facilitate both formal and non-formal learning. Most services are text-based, which implies literacy skills, including interpretation, assessment and contextualization.
The main activities of this project include: discussions, interactive presentations, outdoor activities, games and intercultural evenings. The working methods are selected entirely in the context of nonformal education and aim to develop creativity in participants, their communication skills, teamwork skills and awareness of personal potential for expressing active citizenship through the Internet and social media. Among our chosen informal methods are: „icebreakers“, „energizers“ „simulations“, „role play games“, „theater play“, „metaphorical presentations“, „SWOT analysis“, „World Café“, „learning by doing“ methods for summarizing, work in small groups and „feedback“.
The main result, which we are expecting to achieve, is a well-formed team of active young European citizens, who will develop their knowledge about marketing, social media, new start-up ideas, which is possible due to the present-day technologies and internet. re participants in the exchange will learn how the social network services can be used for organization or activities, events, groups, discussions and promotion or particular matters, opinions and campaigns. Last, but not least, the project will contribute for the establishment of a long-term partnership between young people and representatives of organizations from Europe, who work with young people and children, thus creating possibilities for planning and creation or project proposals between the partner organizations.
