Creative Health is an initiative of ADA'S volunteers and it is addressing the young people's problems, especially those related to an unhealthy lifestyle characterised by unhealthy eating, sedentaryism, lack of sport activities and especially lack of activities in nature.

Thus, the main motivation for implementing this project is the need of our volunteers to work with other young people with common problems and to share their experiences, to self-motivate and to identify together positive models in order to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Project's objectives:

  • To develop the capactiy of 40 young people and 10 group leaders from 10 countries to identify their own unhealthy attitudes in everyday life through creative learning methods and to become aware of their negative effects
  • To facilitate the framework for experimenting a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating, activities in nature and sports activities, over 11 days by 40 young people and 10 group leaders from 10 countries
  • To develop the skills to practice a healthy and balanced lifestyle
  • To develop a visual tool (a photo album and a movie) to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and a practical guide for young people who want to have a healthy lifestyle but do not know how to do it.

Methodology:

The working sessions are based mostly on non-formal education methods: teambuilding games, get to know each other games, ice breaking games, energizers, treasure hunt, educational debate, Flash mob, Photovoice, Videovoice, Paper Motion Animation and other active and creative learning methods, various games and creative exercises especially chosen to facilitate the transfer of information and the exchange between all participants.
