Popis ESC příležitosti:
Description
Citizens Lab is a 90-day European Solidarity Corps volunteering experience focused on active citizenship, youth participation and community engagement. The project offers young people the opportunity to take part in the daily life of a youth organisation, learn through non-formal education, and actively contribute to the local community. Alongside collective activities, each volunteer is encouraged to develop their own ideas and initiatives. During Citizen Lab, volunteers will support and participate in a variety of activities connected to youth work and community life, including youth information and access to opportunities, active citizenship and civic participation initiatives, school and community activities, using non formal education methods, gaming and digital culture as tools for inclusion, workshops and local events, and manual work related with building rehabilitation (wood, painting) linked to the activation of youth and community centre.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation is provided in shared two-bedroom apartment, fully equipped and located close to the activity venue and essential services. Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance of EUR 180 and pocket money of EUR 6 per day. Local transport related to the volunteering activities is fully covered. International travel costs are reimbursed according to the official ESC distance bands using the European Commission distance calculator. All arrangements are explained in advance, ensuring transparency, safety and well-being throughout the activity.
Training during the activity
During the volunteering period, volunteers receive continuous learning support based on non-formal education. An on-arrival orientation introduces tasks, safety rules, rights and responsibilities, and supports integration into the local community. Each volunteer is supported by a designated tutor, ensuring regular follow-up and well-being monitoring. Volunteers take part in the mandatory European Solidarity Corps training cycle. Learning outcomes are identified and recognised through the Youthpass certificate.
Participant profile
If this make´s you resonate, you are part of our team already! We are looking for young people aged 18 to 26 who are motivated, proactive and curious to learn.
