Popis projektu:

To Gather: Sharing Methods and Practises for Youth Participation

We would like to invite you to join together for a seminar, based on the need of sharing methods and practises for the involvement of young people in our activities.

The focus will be the involvement of youth on different levels both, on local activities, and in Erasmus plus mobilities.

Join us, if you would like to share with others (new comers in E+ and „oldies“)
–  which tools you use “to gather” young people
–  what are our strategies to enact social transformation
–  what are for you the most effective methodologies you adopt to make youth participation and social inclusion possible

Key Questions:

  • Which tools do we use “to gather” young people?
  • What are our strategies to enact social transformation?
  • What are the most effective methodologies we adopt to make youth participation and social inclusion possible?

What is ToGather?

ToGather is a PDA seminar organized by Link APS Association aimed at bringing participating organizations together to share practices and methodologies used to promote youth participation and social inclusion.

Specifically, the focus of the seminar will be on sharing the following:

  • Strategies for involving youth with fewer opportunities in social impact projects
  • Facilitation techniques and methods used in activities with youth
  • Ideas for future partnership projects

About the activities:

  • In each of these three phases, participants will be directly and actively involved. Each will be
asked to share practices and methods used, as well as ideas for future collaborations.
  • Participants may be asked if they would like to lead short sessions to introduce the methodologies used in facilitation (graphic facilitation, board games, role-play, music, circus, etc.).
  • Sessions will be held to compare and discuss strategies adopted to engage youth in their local and international action.
  • Finally, discussion tables will be organized to co-design new ideas. The final schedule of activities will be shared later on.

Participants:

The project is open to both partner and third countries’ organizations. We’ll prefer NGOs who are interested in or have experience with the topics and tools prioritized in the project, but also those willing to share different approaches and methodologies are welcomed.

The seminar will involve around 25 youth workers from youth organizations working with Erasmus+ program.

We need to stress the importance of sending a person who is really involved in the organization and having the capacity to contribute actively, to take decisions and bring concrete proposals. When needed, it’s possible to accept two participants from the same organization, one senior and one junior youth worker. Primarily we would like to invite all the organizations belonging to the informal network with which we already cooperated, moreover we plan to reserve 30% of places to new organizations who should send a detailed description of their work and explain why they want to participate.
