Hostitelská organizace: Young Effect
Popis projektu:
Across Europe, diversity is one of our greatest strengths, yet many young people are growing up in a social climate increasingly marked by polarization, prejudice, and fear of the unknown. Stereotypes, misinformation, and limited opportunities for meaningful intercultural encounters contribute to discrimination, social exclusion, and the tendency to divide people into „us“ and „them“. These dynamics particularly affect young people with fewer opportunities, limiting their sense of belonging, participation, and confidence in engaging with those who have different backgrounds, cultures, or perspectives.
This Youth Exchange was created in response to these challenges. Building on the Erasmus+ priority of Inclusion and Diversity, the project aims to create a safe and dynamic learning environment where diversity is not simply discussed, but experienced through everyday interaction, cooperation, and shared responsibility. We believe that lasting inclusion begins when people move beyond assumptions, meet each other as individuals, and discover that differences are not barriers, but opportunities for learning and growth.
For one week, participants from 6 countries will live, learn, and collaborate together in an international community. Through movement-based learning, non-formal education, dance, interactive workshops, team challenges, sports, reflection, and youth-led activities, participants will explore how cultural diversity shapes our identities, influences our communities, and can become a source of social cohesion rather than division.
Movement is at the heart of the project. Beyond traditional workshops, participants will experience body expression as universal form of communication that transcends language barriers. Through collaborative dance sessions, creative movement, and physical activities, they will discover new ways of expressing emotions, building trust, communicating without words, and connecting with others regardless of their cultural background. By engaging both body and mind, participants will experience inclusion not only as a concept, but as something that can be felt, practiced, and lived together.
Rather than providing ready-made answers, the exchange encourages participants to take an active role in the learning process. Young people will co-create activities, facilitate discussions, share experiences from their own countries and local realities, and contribute to an environment where every participant has both a voice and a responsibility. This approach fosters ownership, empowerment, and mutual learning while strengthening initiative, leadership, and active participation.
Is this Youth Exchange the right fit for you?
This project is designed for young people who want to participate, contribute, move, learn, and grow together. This Youth Exchange is for people who believe the best way to learn is by doing:
- Expect movement, discussions, teamwork, shared responsibilities, cooking together, dancing, reflecting, and stepping outside your comfort zone.
- Take a minute to read the next page and see if this experience matches what you’re looking for.
Participants‘ profile:
This project is intended for young people who are curious, open-minded, and motivated to actively contribute to a shared learning experience. It is especially suited for participants who enjoy learning through experience, movement, creativity, and collaboration, and who are willing to step outside their comfort zone to engage with people from different cultures and perspectives. It is NOT A HOLIDAY or entertainment programme, but an opportunity to challenge personal assumptions, develop meaningful relationships, and actively contribute to a supportive international community.
🏡 Willing to be part of a community, not just a group. Everyone shares responsibility for keeping common spaces clean, organised, and enjoyable. Taking care of our shared environment is part of living and learning together. ️
Ready to cook and collaborate. Participants will prepare their own dinners in small international groups using the food provided. Cooking together is an integral part of the exchange, fostering teamwork, responsibility, intercultural sharing, and everyday cooperation.
