Program, akce: Evropský sbor solidarity (ESC) — dlouhodobé dobrovolnictví (5 měsíců)

- Motivační dopis (max jedna A4 stránka),
- a nezapomeňte také odeslat vyplněnou přihlášku, kterou najdete zde.
Pro to, abyste na tento projekt mohli jet je nutné, abyste vlastnili nejen občanský průkaz (který musíte mít ze zákona), ale také platný cestovní pas (s platností min. ještě 150 dní od datumu začátku vámi vybraného projektu).
V rámci programu Evropský sbor solidarity jsou následující finanční specifika: v rámci všech projektů ESC je kompletně (ze 100 %) zajištěno jídlo, ubytování, aktivity, povinné doplňkové pojištění u pojišťovny Henner, jazykový kurz, místní doprava, a to vše je zcela pokryto z fondů EU programu Evropský sbor solidarity a zařízeno organizátory. Účastníkům dále budou proplaceny cestovní náklady (v případě tohoto projektu) ve výši max. €395 z místa bydliště do místa konání projektu a zpět.
Účastník musí:
- Být ve věku 18-30 let;
- Být zaregistrovaný na portálu ESC (v případě, že máte s registrací problém, řiďte se tímto návodem)
- Mít zájem o dobrovolnictví a tento projekt;
- Ovládat angličtinu alespoň na úrovni B1

What is SEEDS?
Founded in 2005, SEEDS Iceland is an Icelandic non-governmental, non-profit volunteer organisation designed to promote intercultural understanding, environmental protection and awareness through work on environmental, social and cultural projects within Iceland. SEEDS’ projects are structured on self-organisation and self-management providing a unique and enriching experience for all involved.
There is a vacancy for the Communication & PR Volunteer – volunteers who are based in our office in Reykjavík and who assist in being a communication link between local and partner organisations from other countries; keeping up-to-date quality and performance procedures; creation and management of online content in SEEDS social media accounts; and participating in SEEDS artistic, cultural and educational activities. They also participate in our social solidarity projects in Reykjavík.

What is included:
● Accommodation: shared house in Reykjavík, walking distance from the office/city centre. While in camps in the countryside, accommodation is provided by local hosts; facilities vary according to the accommodation available
● Food is provided by SEEDS, and volunteers help organise the weekly shopping. A plant-based diet is followed during SEEDS‘ camps
● Monthly pocket money
● Health insurance for the duration of the project. Having a valid European Health Insurance Card before travelling to Iceland is mandatory
● Transportation costs from the supporting organisation’s address to the hosting organisation’s address (and and back) are covered by the project’s budget up to Erasmus+ limits for a certain country, based on the Erasmus+ distance calculator. For the Czech Republic, this is €395.
Training during the activity
SEEDS organises pre-departure (online) and on-arrival (in-person) orientation training to provide theoretical and practical knowledge. Volunteers are introduced to the ESC, SEEDS, Iceland as the hosting country, non-formal education, intercultural awareness and leadership. All volunteers have the opportunity to attend a 4-day On-Arrival training provided by the Icelandic National Agency, within two months of their arrival. Volunteers receive support from SEEDS‘ volunteer coordinator and peers while learning about SEEDS’ activities and building confidence within a comfortable environment.
Participant profile
SEEDS is looking for candidates who are motivated and who show an interest and concern towards intercultural cooperation, environmental issues and preservation practices, artistic expression and creativity. The participants need to be ready to show some level of flexibility, adaptability, and have the ability to work independently, as well as in a team. Volunteers should be ready to implement and improve their leadership skills, public speaking skills, social skills and organisational skills. All our volunteers are required to be comfortable in communicating in English.
